Kyle Smith was selected to the 2010 Pa East-West All star game. He follows these past Crusaders who played in the game too: Nick Schmalhofer, Matt Balasavage, Nick Downey, Ryan Purvis. |

Has there been any thought given to selling posters of the team picture after the state championship win?? |

Whew---State Champions!!!! That's a nice way for this senior class to go out. For a few it started with the heartbreaker of a loss to Wyomissing in the 2006 District championship, followed by an early exit at the hands of Delone in the second round of districts in 2007, then as juniors broke thru and helped claim district 3 Gold and the first state playoff win over Mt Carmel before falling to a faster West Catholic squad. In between they experienced never losing to Lampeter-Strasburg, winning the section every year, dominating Manheim Central at Rettew Stadium, finally defeating Trinity, beating the winningest program in the state-Mt Carmel-3 years in a row, being THE reason Kyle Smith achieved his records, and putting a huge exclamation point on their football careers at Lancaster Catholic. No doubt LCHS will continue its run of All State players under Coach Harbach. A new standard has been set for future Crusaders--STATE GOLD!! |

Good Luck next week at Hershey Park from one Catholic High School to another. WC Alumni and grandfather of #41 TE/DE Jimmy Lynch. It was a great game. |

I am so proud of you boys! I am a former alumni but i did not appreciate the lack of sportmanship from the fans in the bleachers. Yes, we won, but i saw one gentleman walk up to a west player and say "good game..but WE won this year" how messed up is that? |

Everyone on our side of the stadium was GLAD Coach called the timeout to score!!! Only disappointed we did not get the extra point. If you were PV maybe I could understand. But hey you were Midpenn champs and this was second round of Districts---before halftime!!! Go Crusaders!! |

Very classless timeout at the end of the first half against Middletown. You didnt need to call a timeout with 4 seconds left to score another touchdown in a game that you already had in hand. |

The Junior High Crusaders ended the 2009 regular season UNDEFEATED with an official record of 7 Wins, no Losses, and 1 Tie. In addition, we “won” our scrimmages against Trinity, Delone Catholic, and Edward Hand and most impressively won our “playoff” game against MidPenn power Harrisburg High -- 24 to 16!!
A Recap of the season will be posted under the Junior High tab.
The last Crusader Freshmen/Junior High team to go undefeated was in 1980. They also finished 7-0-1 with their only tie being to Manheim Central -- 6 to 6. Those players went on to win two District Championships in 1982 & 1983.
Hopefully, with hard work, these players will have similar success! Way to go Crusaders!!!!!

I just read about Kyle Smith tying a state record for TD's. Very Impressive. When I played we threw maybe 5 passes a game. Glad your new offense airs it out. Continued best wishes from a STILL loyal Crusader!!!! |
